TASTING NOTES
The wine shows juicy expressions of red fruit, raspberry, and cranberry, with subtle hints of pencil shavings and undertones of earthiness. Subtle and soft tannins, with a beautiful freshness, elevation, and persistence on the finish.
Harvest of the Merlot was between the 2nd and 3rd week of February. Grapes were destemmed and crushed, fermented naturally in open-top fermenters and pumped over twice daily for gentle extraction. Post maceration on the skins for 10 days before pressing. Most of the maturation occurred in stainless steel and 20% in older French oak, malolactic fermentation in stainless steel.
